Sun dressess, swim cover-ups, or shirts--smocking is it!

So it's finally happened, Lilly has run out of clothes and is getting into the "big girl" sizes her mom and I have dreaded.  These days it's just getting creepier and creepier how short some of the dresses and skirts are getting.  Somehow, the last few years, Lilly has managed to avoid this problem (probably a super-saavy shopping mom :)), but this year, the luck stopped and Stacy decided we were making the majority of Lilly's summer wear.  This was just A-OK with me because 1) I'm all for long looks and 2) Bella gets Lilly's hand-me-downs!

As we were looking for long looks that could still keep Lilly looking moderately like her classmates, Stacy kept coming back to shirring.  She had found tons of already shirred panels to get Lilly's wardrobe jump-started, and tons of videos teaching us how to shir ourselves.  Turns out the process isn't all that tough, just one that involves some special elastic thread and a whole lot of patience.  Double excitement:  the look works for us, too!

So now we're happy to report that we are shirring dresses ourselves and creating them from already shirred panels.  We have lots of stock designs available for you this summer and can work with you on creating a custom look to match anything or anyone!  Turn your shirred/smocked top into a dress, a swim cover-up, or just a cute shirt.  Pair it with leggings for a chic 80's inspired look.  Dresses come strapless, but can be trimmed with ribbon tie straps (adjustable) or fabric straps.  Both strap styles can be done as spaghetti or halter style.  We can also trim your look to add a flirty hemline.

Prices start at just $10 for a shirred creation.  Choose from our stock designs to get a shirt/dress/cover-up in your size and spend just $10.  Adding straps is free (because modesty shouldn't cost!).  Want a Disney/character smock?  The price is just $15.  If you'd like a custom look created for you (think mother/daughter matching dresses for mother's day) then just ask for a type of design/fabric and we'll shir it for you!  Custom dresses are just $20.  Add trim to any creation for just $5.

So come on and have some fun this summer in our cotton dress creations!
